Those Campo Santo guys have a direct line to my aesthetic. It’s another single-player, first-person experience, this time detailing the story of an explorer and a filmmaker in 1920s Egypt. An interesting addition, however, is your partner is an AI-controller character rather than, well, no partner at all.
Two women (of color!) in a strangely eerie, somewhat mystical time and place in the singularly odd pursuit of capturing a sunrise on a camera sounds like a crazy premise, but if anyone can make it work, it’s the folks at Campo Santo. And if you’re wondering, the song is “Muddy Water” by LP.
It’s expected to release sometime in 2019 for PC, Mac, and Linux.
